I remember going to basketball games at the Central gym. The cheering, the effort of our boys; Scott Baldwin, Dave Mell, Roger Klosowsky Gary Doty and all the team members playing under Coachs Jim Hastings and Sherman Moe. Then the mad rush down Lake Avenue to Bridgeman's to get a booth. Those who left early and ran fast smiled and ate their LaLaPaloozas tauntingly slow.
I remember walking in mass from Central out to the football games, cheering and singing as we marched. Then loading in a city bus to come home, trying hard to rock the bus until we hoped it would tip over and land on the Denfeld kids throwing eggs at us, ultimatley being driven straight to the Police Station, just blocks away from school. How convenient. I remember the road trip to St Cloud and oh how I loved the cheerleaders.
